Now, What I Thought:

This was actually really good! Surprisingly, I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. It had a weird type of fantasy world, which just felt too far fetched but I really liked how the words and events just flowed smoothly and how the introduction to the characters were. In the beginning we get Lily, she's supposed to be a regular, lucky enough to be mated to the King's son, shifter. But dun dun dun, instead she's really this mystical hybrid between a shifter and a vampire -gasp-. As weird as their world was and just how Dawn came up with stuff to add, I really did enjoy it and it was funny at a lot of parts!

Again, Lily is dating the Shifter King's son and those two are inseparable. Everyone either hates Lily or wants to be her, and Lily is totally good hearted and doesn't seem to care or notice too much. Then, Lily finds herself being named the future Queen of Shifters in only a couple days. Still in shock from loads of events that came spiralling at her, she doesn't quite understand the huge responsibility. This is when we get to fully understand the characters seeing as they are all the heirs to their throne: Ezra the Vampire, Jack the Elemental, Pearl the Mage and finally Lily the Shifter.

My favourite character out of everyone in this book had to be Ezra! Not only because he's this sexy, dark and dangerous vampire but because he actually saw sense and was the smartest one. He seemed to know what to do no matter what happened to the group and he always protected them. It was a fun book to read and really had the elements and magic involved which I liked. Instead of it being strictly one thing, Dawn put all of the fantasy, paranormal genre's together into one book. You guys should definitely read this if you want cute mate scenes, sexy vampire scenes and action induced magic scenes!

Now, What I Thought:

This was different from all of the other books! We have 2 P.O.V's in this, which was cool because we finally get to read about Adrian's thought process. So, Zoe is annoying. Simple as that, and this is me being nice. I really hate her, I can't put it straight enough! She bugged me so much, she always seemed to be on her sister's side yet at the first chance, she rats her out to her father and guess what? Sydney is in trouble now and all I want to do is slice Zoe's throat.

I feel like Sydney and Adrian were a little dull in this book, meaning that they just weren't themselves. They were careless and got too comfortable. Sydney wasn't smart enough to realize when something was wrong and we didn't see the normal, very analytic thinking person I really liked from the first book and Vampire Academy.

Adrian was almost exactly like that. It felt like he, too, wasn't himself because he was way too overly in love with Sydney and his mistakes, along with hers, threaten now all of their lives and not to mention the only reason they're there, Jill. It was just so frustrating how stupid they could be and just not think with their heads in this book! I felt like screaming at them a lot of the times just to talk some sense into their brains and shout out the obvious.

I really liked how we got to go to the Royal Court, and we see everyone! That was probably my favourite scene in the whole book. There was so much drama that happened it was just so juicy! We get so many fights and a huge battle which was total Vampire Academy like. I loved it! It was so cute to see how Sydney and Adrian were trying to hide their relationship from their friends because we all saw how that worked out for Rose and Dimitri.

I really did like this book, but it was not my favourite. I didn't like the ending, something bad happens and I totally know I'm going to get so frustrated in next book. So, all in all, it was a good instalment in the series and while I am frustrated and mad how the series turned, I am excited to see how Adrian and the gang can save Sydney from this drama.

Now, What I Thought:

This was awesome! It really made a difference with Edward's P.O.V straight from the beginning. I loved hearing his thoughts and how abrasive he was towards Bella in the start. Which, if you've read Twilight, Bella's approach towards Edward is anything but abrasive, in fact the opposite. We finally get to read where he went after meeting her in Biology class that first day. I liked this, it filled a lot of holes and made me understand Edward way more better. Now, this is a partial draft because it was leaked before Meyer had time to finish it, but for a partial draft I was pretty satisfied. I really only wanted to read how Edward thought of Bella in the beginning when they first met.

For the progress on where Midnight Sun is, writing wise, she hasn't let out any announcement whether she is even going to finish it. When Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined (10th anniversary edition) came out she actually said in an interview she was afraid that people were going to think that it would be the finished copy of Midnight Sun. This is pretty much a sure way of us knowing that we shouldn't expect the final copy any time soon, unfortunately.

For the actual content in this, it was so well-written. You can definitely tell when Stephanie Meyer writes something because she has such a mature and unique writing technique, it's very inspiring. From just reading the Twilight series I always thought that Edward was just emotionless and had a flat personality. This totally changed what I thought! Again, you really get to see him struggle with these unfamiliar emotions he's having because of this clumsy new girl. There was humour with his side of the story, which I welcomed by the way.

Meyer really played on the fact the he can read minds. I loved Edward's replies towards the mind's he would read. I couldn't believe how rude some people were to eachoother and the jealousy towards Bella! It was a huge plus because now I knew what people really thought about each other and Bella in the couple first of chapters. Namely, Jessica. Meyer literally took us to the depths of Edward's mind and thought process and it really did change the Twilight experience for me. I found myself actually liking this version better than the originals.

I really did enjoy this and I really do wish that Meyer would complete this! It would be epic and I definitely wouldn't mind the whole series in his P.O.V. It really was a game changer for Twilight and I'm definitely keeping my alerts on for whenever Meyer decides to finish the book.

Being empathic is the least of Davy's problems. She wants to go to college and live a normal life until someone gives her something she doesn't want. Now she has to deal with the supernatural and a prophecy that no one knows about.

Now, What I Thought:

I honestly don't know how many reviews I can do until I prove to everyone in the world that Tijan is an amazing author! I can go on and on about her books for a while but for the sake of this review, I'll just leave it with, read her books!!! Davy Harwood is in university just living her life, trying to live stress-free and vampire-free. Davy is an empath, so she's not new to the world of magic and such, especially vampires. You see, Davy is a bit of a known vampire killer, so to speak. She had a rough run in with a vamp once and he soon became obsessed with her... until she killed him withe her fire magic that is. Basically everyone knew not to fuck with Davy and Davy was fine with that. Until the day a girl jumps to her death off of Davy's work roof. Davy, having caught her just before she jumped, was basically all sorts of confused as to what this mystery girl was ranting on about. Leaving Davy with just a couple of words, she jumped off and ended her life. Yep, the book starts off like that. She's also been noticing a lot of weirdness about the vampires, they're always around, too much for comfort sometimes but there seems to be about 10 x the amount than normal.

Davy then runs into Roan, the mysterious new kid, or as Davy points out right away, to his face might I add, that he is a vampire and a strong one at that.

"He'd been staring right at me the whole time. This was not good, not at all. He knew that I knew. I knew that he knew I knew...He'd seen. I smiled smugly and whispered, "I know what you are." His face didn't move. His eyes didn't react, but I knew I'd made him angry."

NICE GOING DAVY. Piss off the new and strong vampire. And from that point on Roan had shown up at every possible time in Davy's life. Literally everywhere, with her friends, in her common room and even at clubs. It was an exciting book to read because Roan was so dangerous and smart that Davy and myself were just so entranced by him. It's no secret that Davy was attracted to Roan the moment she saw him but little does she know that he felt the exact same way. In this book we have vampires, werewolf's, and magic wielding folk. It was an epic ride and I enjoyed practically all of the book except for some points when Roan was being a jack-ass as main love interests usually are.

The ending was pretty spot on and left us wondering a lot, like what the hell was Tijan going to write in the next book! So far there are 3 books out and I don't think Tijan is writing a 4th one so stay tuned for those reviews!!

Now, What I Thought:

This whole series is amazing. Honestly, it was so different and very interesting to read Ward's words because they're not like the normal vampire books. The book opens up with some of the brotherhood in a club, and we're basically just seeing their P.O.V and mind set. Pretty much that's when I realized this wasn't going to be a fluffy twilight type of vampire story. There has explicit scenes, swearing and gore. This is not a book for children that is for sure. Each book in the series is following the story of a different brother's P.O.V and plot. So being the first book, it follows the leader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, Wrath. After his most trusted friend and follower dies, he grants the one wish he had, find his half-breed daughter and protect her. This is when Beth comes in. A seemingly normal 25 year old women who works a middle class job. She automatically gets called, being the friend and reporter for the police, to the crime scene where her unknown father was murdered. This is when Wrath first sees Beth, and from there it's just hectic.

I did not realize how much sex was going to be in this novel. Lets just say Wrath is a .... hell of a dude... Anyways, Beth and Wrath have an immediate connection and slowly she becomes apart of her father's world and starts falling for the big intimidating leader. The way the vampires work in this story is that they can eat food just like normal people, but need blood to survive and stay strong, and that blood has to be from a vampire. There are a lot of character introductions in this book and it's a bit hectic trying to remember them, I will admit. But Ward's writing style was so easy to read and follow that it definitely helped with the remembering of the names.

If you're into vampire-erotica type of novels with lots of action, fighting and character development then this is the book and series for you! I did thoroughly enjoy this book but I wouldn't say it's my favourite in the series. Just to keep that in mind, if you do read this and want to read on there are better books in the series. J.R. Ward's book, Dark Lover, was a great introduction to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series anyways, no matter which book was better.

Now, What I Thought:

I'm going to assume that everyone reading this review knows about Twilight and has read the originals. Onward from that, this is the tenth anniversary edition where Bella and Edward's roles and genders are switched. When I first heard about this I literally through my phone because of the excitement and the urge to do a happy dance- true story. Literally every female in the original Twilight series turns into a male and vice versa. It was actually pretty good, which I'm struggling to imagine how I could possibly say that with a straight face... I wasn't necessarily a big fan of the books, I liked the movies well enough to watch them in the theatres but that's about it. So for me to say that this book was actually pretty good, is a lot.

This was pretty funny to read, it took a while to get used to and remember who was who but all in all, pretty humorous. I liked that Meyer took the used up old story of Twilight and made it into something new and refreshing. Mind you guys, the main reasons why I didn't like Twilight did not disappear in this new version. The romance still sucked, the whole vampire sparkle stuff was still bogus and the characters still didn't connect with me or relate to me at all. While this was a cool new innovation of Twilight, I'd still give it the same rating as the originals, 3-4 stars, at the most.

For anyone interested in reading, I say just do it. I mean, it's a cool thing for Meyer to do and I liked that she came up with this idea. It was a definitely a different perspective to view the plot through Beau Swan, a male, getting captivated by the beautiful vampire, Edythe Cullen. I didn't mind the book and I definitely didn't hate it as some-most people did. Just read it, who knows, you might actually really like this new version better!

p.s. Soooooo Meyer had the time to write this book yet not the sequel to the Host ?? Um priorities much? -insert grumpy ass face-

Now, What I Thought:

This book was hot hot hot! The connection between Sydney and Adrian is just inevitable. I do feel for Sydney though, she has to go against all of her instincts that have been drilled into her head since childhood. Besides the romance in this book, we get a lot of action! Sydney finally finds the infamous Marcus Finch who managed to escape the Alchemists and do something spectacular to his tattoo. I liked that we got to learn a lot about the golden lily tattoo's in this novel and their history, Mead really focused on the implications if the tattoo was to used on you. It's almost like brainwash in a way and I have a suspicious feeling that is what is going to happen to Sydney's sister, Zoe.

This book really is just about the struggle Sydney has mentally about whether to follow her instinct, that may be wrong, or her heart. The problem is that she has so much other crap to deal with, her newfound magic, protecting Jill, dealing with Angeline, and especially the lies that the Alchemists have been telling her. She doesn't know who to trust expect the Moroi, whom she had been brainwashed into not trusting... basically it's a huge mess in Sydney's life and she's close to exploding. I honestly wouldn't blame her if she did.

The big 'bad' in this book is some person tracking and killing young witches across the US. So, of course Sydney and Adrian go on little, adorable trips to all of these places to figure out who and why this is happening. Unfortunately, they do lose some witches but the culprit is revealed and Sydney finds herself fighting to the death with them. It's an amazing scene and an amazing way to end the book. I still have so many questions that need to be answered but I guess I can wait till the next book :(.

This was a pretty good novel and it seems to be going in the same direction as Vampire Academy, which is nice because that series was awesome!

Now, What I Thought:

So it seems like the Bloodlines series it going to go the same way as Vampire Academy, in a way. It was pretty predictable but not in a way that I disliked it. It was still super juicy and addicting as always. I LOVED reading this story and the world of Moroi, Dhampir, and Strigoi from Sydney's P.O.V. Something about her inner thoughts and the way she spoke was just such a refreshing start from Rose's in the Vampire Academy. Of course, it was a little annoying how restricted Sydney could be and that she's not that comfortable with herself, let alone others like Adrian.

I liked how they made Sydney more than just a boring Alchemist. Now that she's pretty sure she has this unexplainable magic, she starts to open up, yet she knows the danger if anyone were to find out. I really liked how they incorporated Braydon, a sort of distraction for Sydney. It was cute and sweet and also funny to see how Adrian reacted. The pacing for everything was pretty darn good- the romance, danger, self-realization etc. I was so hooked on how likeable the characters were. Obviously I know Eddie, Jill and Adrian from before but Angeline and Tray were pretty likeable, despite their faults. What made this book even better was definitely Sonya and Dimitri!! Those two are both hilarious and just a great reminder where this whole storyline and world came from.

Adrian was fantastic. Since Vampire Academy, I've been in love with Adrian. I think he has definitely grown and gone through some shit and deserves so much more, a.k.a Sydney :). Now, I don't know where Mead is going with this but it seems that Adrian finally gets to have some happiness in his life. I like that we get to see Sydney change, for the better. Her prejudices from the years and years of being brainwashed are finally breaking down and she's, again, slowly allowing herself to open up and be vulnerable in front of the Moroi and Dhampir.

All in all, this was the perfect sequel and I couldn't ask for a better book! Can't wait for the next one, The Indigo Spell!!! Yay!

Now, What I Thought:

Here we are, back again in the wonderful world Richelle Mead created. This book started off right on Sydney Sage at home being awakened by her alchemist bosses. Sydney's home life is a rough one, to say the least. Her father is horrible to her, he treats them like crap, and her sister is just so annoying. Zoe wants to do anything to make her dad proud, even if that means going on a mission that'll most likely get her killed, when she's only 15 years old. Of course, Sydney sees how obscure this is, and offers herself considering she knows more about the Moroi and Strigoi from her little escapade with Rose and Dimitri in Blood Promises and Last Sacrifice. Well, you can understand how upset Zoe was and accused Sydney of wanting all the glory to herself, yeah.. not really. What a brat.

Anyways, flip forward a couple chapters and Sydney is back with the gang!!! Sydney, along with an annoying 'supervisor/partner' Keith Darnell, the golden boy of the alchemists. She meets up with Rose, Dimitri, Adrian, Eddie, Jill, and weirdly enough, Abe Mazur, Rose's father and someone Sydney has clearly met and made a deal with before, -gasp- mystery. Sydney and Jill move to Amberwood Prep to protect the newly found royalty, Jill, after many suspicious attacks made on her life.

This novel was super juicy and totally fun to read. It never once got boring and I flew through it in one sitting. Adrian is a huge character in this series, which I'm glad for considering he didn't really get much in Vampire Academy. The others do make appearances once in a while but the book is solely about Sydney and her new life hiding out with Jill, Keith and Adrian. While, this book was pretty predictable, it did have its twists and surprises later on in the book and in the whole series. Adrian's lines were hilarious of course, so we still had the humour. Sydney's P.O.V was definitely different from Roses. Sydney's would be smarter, critical and more serious while Rose's was funny, witty, and sarcastic. Aside from that, this book was pretty darn great! I had fun reading it and definitely reading the rest of the series.

Now, What I Thought:

This has been a great ride!!! What a crazy ending to this amazing world of Vampire Academy. I couldn't tell you how much I was actually dreading reading this book, I didn't want the whole series to end! I needed more Rose and Dimitri, and also... sexy Adrian!! The conclusion to this wonderful series did not disappoint, and I was quite glad at how they left things. Of course some things were left unanswered but luckily for us Richelle Mead is an angel and has written a spin off series, but more on that later!!!

As a theme with the series, Rose's p.o.v was hilarious, witty, sarcastic and just humorous in general. We can now say we know where she gets it from considering her father, Abe Mazur is one hell of a funny guy. I loved Lissa's journey to the crown, and through the tests she found the last one, most challenging,

""What must a queen possess in order to truly rule her people?"... And just like that, Lissa suddenly knew the answer. "Nothing," she said softly, "A queen must possess nothing to rule because she has to give everything she has to her people. Even her life.""

DAMN, idk about you guys but when I read that, I got chills all over. It's crazy to see how grown and mature Lissa is, she truly would make a great queen. I liked how Mead incorporated a murder mystery in here, like that was pretty clever! I love that little aspect of the book, and when we got to find out who did it, dun dun dun very unexpected. We see a lot of characters in this book, too many to keep up with almost. We are reunited with the trio of sorts, Victor, Robert, and Sonya. Also Sydney! Cant forget about our favourite alchemist. Of course, Dimitri and Rose are now side by side, yet not really as they were before. Since, Dimitri is pretty ashamed with himself about how he treated Rose when he was a Strigoi, he needed space from her, and instead, turned to Lissa and her friendship. Lets just say, Rose wasn't too happy with that, and neither was I!! A real downer was Rose and Adrian, I mean poor Adrian didn't deserve half the stuff done to him and he basically got shit on when Dimitri turned back into a Dhampir.

This book was fast-paced, the ending was great and we even got a little twist at the end at court with Rose and a certain evil someone. Now, usually I would fill this section up about how much I'm going to miss this series and world and blah blah blah. BUUTTTTTTTT like I said earlier, there is a spinoff series thank the lord. It's called Bloodlines, and it follows the young alchemist Sydney, that we happen to already know from Blood Promises. It was so interesting reading another p.o.v of this world! And yes, you do get re-connected with everyone and I mean EVERYONE!! YAY!! like multiple appearances each book :) SO that made me pretty happy haha.

Anyways, this was a great conclusion to The Vampire Academy Series and I cant wait to re-enter the world in Bloodlines.

Now, What I Thought:

So basically this book is about the lamb now chasing the hunter, a.k.a Dimitri chasing Rose. It was well-paced and you couldn't NOT get bored because Mead just hit you with surprise after surprise after surprise. I like that Rose is finally back at St. Vlad's and is finally getting to graduate. Of course that all gets put on hold because Strigoi Dimitri is not giving up so easily. Ever since she failed to kill him, Dimitri has given her no more chances and is now on pursuit to turning Rose into a Strigoi, so they can be together forever. I mean, it's kind of romantic? At least he's still thinking of her, even with his dead dark heart.. Lol.

Poor Adrian, I guess Rose did give him a shot once and for all, but we all knew who'd she end back up with. Pretty obvious. I did not like how Rose took Adrian for granted, I mean using his credit card in Vegas to then proclaim your love for Dimitri while you're legit dating the guy that's financing your trip... seriously Rose? But Adrian being Adrian, he still loves Rose even though he knows its a lost cause, deep down. He also still helps his cousin Lissa out in finding her powers and mostly, not hurting herself and others with them.

This novel, thankfully, was definitely better than Blood Promise that's for sure. The book does end in a horrible cliffhanger, AGAIN. Seriously, Mead. Enough with the cliffhangers, our poor hearts can't handle it!!! Especially with the knowledge that the next book will be the last in the series, why!!!
